    Cocaine is pretty
    It glints in the light
    Just like soap powder
    Cocaine is pretty, clean
    It glints in the
    Light, light, light

    Cocaine has ugly cousins
    They feed on the unloved
    Feast on the desperate
Showing them in a pretty, pretty
    Cracked happiness

    Punish, punish the unloved
    Lock them in soap boxes
Chain morally superior stones to their ankles
    Banish them from the light
    Light, light, light
    Unjust like…

i prefere this one..... not about cocaine tho..........

    (Take Me in Your Arms)

So now, little man, you've grown tired of grass L.S.D., goofballs, cocaine and hash, and someone, pretending to be a true friend, said, "I'll introduce you to Miss Heroin."

Well honey, before you start fooling with me, just let me inform you of how it will be.

For I will seduce you and make you my slave, I've sent men much stronger than you to their graves. You think you could never become a disgrace, and end up addicted to Poppyseed waste.

So you'll start inhaling me one afternoon, You'll take me into your arms very soon. And once I've entered deep down in your veins, The craving will nearly drive you insane.

You'll swindle your mother and just for a buck You'll turn into something vile and corrupt. You'll mug and you'll steal for my narcotic charm, and feel contentment when I'm in your arms.

The day, when you realize the monster you've grown, you'll solemnly swear to leave me alone.

If you think you've got that mystical knack, then sweetie, just try getting me off your back.

The vomit, the cramps, your gut tied in knots The jangling nerves screaming for one more shot. The hot chills and cold sweats, withdrawl pains, can only be saved by my little white grains.

There's no other way, and there's no need to look, for deep down inside you know you are hooked.

You'll desperately run to the pushers and then, you'll welcome me back to your arms once again.

And you will return (just as I foretold)! I know that you'll give me your body and soul.

You'll give up your morals, your conscience, your heart
And you will be mine until,
    "Death Do Us Part"

    meth poem

This poem was made by a 21 year old female who overdosed on crystal meth, the poem was found in her drawer. I think this drug ruins lives more than any other.

Meet Mr. and Mrs. Crystal Meth.
I destroy homes – I tear families apart.
I take your children and that’s just a start.
I’m more valued than diamonds, more precious than gold.
The sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.
If you need me, remember, I’m easily found.
I live all around you, in school and in town.
I live with the rich, I live with the poor.
I live just down the street and maybe next door.
I’m made in a lab, but not one like you think.
I can be made under the kitchen sink,
In your child’s closet, and even out in the woods.
If this scares you to death, then it certainly should.
I have many names. But there’s one you’ll know best.
I’m sure you’ve heard of me, my name is Crystal Meth.
My power is awesome, try me, you’ll see.
But if you do, you may never break free.
Just try me once and I might let you go.
But if you try me twice, then I’ll own your soul.
When I possess you, you’ll steal and you’ll lie.
You’ll do what you have to do, just to get high.
The crimes you commit for my narcotic charms,
Will be worth the pleasures you feel in my arms.
You’ll lie to your mother; you’ll steal from your dad.
When you see their tears, you must feel sad.
Just forget your morals and how you were raised.
I’ll be your conscience, I’ll teach you my ways.
I take kids from their parents; I take parents from their kids.
I turn people from God, I separate friends.
I’ll take everything from you, your looks and your pride.
I’ll be with you always, right by your side.
You’ll give up everything, your family, your home.
Your money, your true friend, then you’ll be alone.
I’ll take and take till you have no more to give.
When I finish with you, you’ll be lucky to live.
If you try me, be warned, this is not a game.
If I’m given the chance, I’ll drive you insane.
I’ll ravage your body; I’ll control your mind.
I’ll own you completely; your soul will be mine.
The nightmares I’ll give you when you’re lying in bed,
And the voices you’ll hear from inside your head.
The sweats, the shakes, and the visions from me.
I want you to know these things are gifts from me.
But then it’s too late, and you’ll know in your heart
That you are now mine and we shall not part.
You’ll regret that you tried me (they always do).
But you came to me, not I to you.
    You knew this would happen.
    Many times you’ve been told.
    But you challenged my power,
    You chose to be bold.
You could have said no and then walked away.
If you could live that day over now, what would you say?
My power is awesome, as I told you before.
I can take your life and make it so dim and sore.
I’ll be your master and you’ll be my slave.
I’ll even go with you when you go to your grave.
Now that you’ve met me, what will you do?
Will you try me or not? It’s all up to you.
I can show you more misery than words can tell.
Come take my hand, let me lead you to Hell.

    from U.K.
As we're being all literary minded and all

    Zoë Lund (1986)

She wants there to be more of her.
More space taken by her body,
more decibels conquered by her voice,
    more time by her wakefulness,
    more equations by her addition.

She wants more, I want less.
Her blade is rusty, musty, sweaty and vain.
I like it clean and sharp and dark-bright.

    She traffics in surplus,
    I bare my essentials.
Her world is elastic but brittle.
    Mine is bony but moonlit.
    Hers flows, she ebbs.
    Mine ebbs, I flow.
She dies in life, I live in death.

If you've seen the superb Bad Lieutenant you'll be familiar with her work - she wrote the screenplay and had an acting part. Very intriguing individual.

The extract below, spoken by her character as she injects Harvey Keitel (The Lieutenant) is from the film:

    Vampires have it easy.
    They feed on others.
We have to feed on ourselves.
We have to eat our legs,
To have the energy to walk.
We have to come, in order to go.
We have to suck ourselves off.
We have to eat away at ourselves
    'Til there's nothing left
    But appetite.

We have to give, and give, and give crazy!
'Cause a gift that makes sense
    Ain't worth it.

    Jesus said, "Seventy Times Seven".

They'll never understand why you did it.
They'll just forget about you tomorrow.

    But you gotta do it.

For years I stayed away from you
    I thought I didn’t need to know
Afraid of your power and the
    places I might go...

    Then on one stupid night
    I decided to say yes
and I smelled the scent of you
now my life’s become a mess

I thought my soul was safe
    You wouldn’t rob my life
You couldn’t take control of me
And you’ve cut me like a knife

    The numbers on the scale
    Began to quickly drop
    And suddenly I feared that
they would rise up if I stop

    Oh I have no addiction!
    There is no problem here!
So why has just a “couple times”
    Become almost a year?

You gave me such a voice
To fight back and be strong
To tell the people in my life
    They treated me all wrong

    You also gave me headaches
And a big hole in my nose
    I’m losing time at work
Oh but I wear smaller clothes!

    You gave me sleepless nights
    and kleenex as a friend
    I wonder why this started
and if it will ever end

    Each time I say enough
this is the day I stop
I call my dealer once again
    Just for one last pop

    I’m tired and I’m ugly
    Black circles round my eyes
    The comedown leaves me sad
    With desperation in my cries

I wonder when you will leave
    Will I hit bottom first?
I wonder what that would mean
I guess it means the worst.

What is it that you offer?
Why do I come back for more?
Will there ever come a time
When I can close the door?

It's not about cocaine but there isn't a poetry thread in the opiate forum.

    I promise myself to death
Left to find bread that's dead on a table
    Where mind met a fable

As a child you can fear
    But now much more able
    Finding, fiending
    With a mind that's unstable

    Attacking a soul
    Eyes black and reflect back
    As holes

    Taper, you hear clearly
    And softly it goes
On a can, from a puddle
Or the dirt on your nose

    Wake up to find
What was once in your mind
    Three legs and a cable
    And the fourth left behind

    Or perhaps it in itself
    Was a dream
    And nothing much besides
    Or it could be exactly
    Just as it did seem.

Or a seam in the cloth
    From a tear
    Where you ripped
    And destroyed with a vengeance.

Or perhaps it in itself was
For lack of a better phrase
A way to get back at yourself
    For the world's evil ways.
