When SWIM's friends started off doing nos, they did it to the kind of cliché psychedelia they do everything else to, pink floyd and the dandy warhols. But They have since discovered music that is better for nos, a different kind of psychedelic, some of which almost sound like those huge synthesised echoes that shake through your body when you do a cap on Es and weed.

The main protagonists of this kind of trippy, in SWIM and his friend's experience are:

    ELO, Prince and I Monster

Any others You would like to add to the list?

Don't get me wrong, all the psychedelic music SWIM loves sober is excellent, but there's a certain something that certain songs posess that just make the perfect for NOS, know what he means?

Green Velvet - Flash is inspired by it
So is Juno Reactor - Laughing Gas. Other songs of his would also fit the profile.

    Venetian snares!

I cannot stress enough how trippy Venetian snares is on NOS, I've been cycling through my music collection to find the best theme music to NOS for quite a while now.

Also good are Aphex Twin, Secret chiefs 3 and Infected Mushroom.

Electronic music, since it already has loops and layers and such

Some artists that IMO are clearly influenced by laughing gas are
FischerSpooner (Invisible), Green Velvet (Flash) and Juno Reactor (Laughing Gas)

Edit: I can't forget to mention lots psytrance and psytekk has staggering, slightly echoing beats and other sounds

Swim used to listen to "The Prodigy - You'll be under my wheels" and "Broken Sword - Evol Intent, Mayhem & Thinktank" religiously when he did nitrous.

I thought the exact same thing about Invisible. The way the breathing at the beginning starts to echo and get distorted, sounds just like it does on nitrous.

Fluff by Black Sabbath. Every time I hear that beautiful song it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I was listening to it while peaking on a quad of shrooms with a case of nitrous. Good times.

SWIM still loves her 90s Enigma for nos. Swim will be happy to try something new to her, though. Thanks.

I think really wierd Goa trance together with a visulizer is best for intense N2O experience.
