Nuvigil, possibly better known as modafinil. Anyone know how this holds up against adderall? My friend hears it should have basically the same effects. It releases dopamine and inhibits the reuptake and all that jazz. Anyone every tried it?

He said it sucks ass and is in no way, anywhere near that of adderall. Made him more tired and agitated. Could work differently without a history of addy abuse but who knows.. who cares.

    Re: Nuvigil- adderall

Well its been about 16 hours and my friend still can't fucking fall asleep. Terrible idea if you are trying to procure a high out of these, great for staying awake, indeed, but worthless for recreation. Its like all the negative effects of adderall, toned down quite a lot except for not being able to sleep, but without the great effects that come with it.

    Re: Nuvigil- adderall

SWIM find SWIY's experiences to be slightly different than his own. While we both agree it does not compare in strength of stimulation or produce any noticeable euphoria, SWIM has found it quite easy to sleep after taking Modafinil. SWIM will be very blunt about his moderately high amphetamine tolerance, which allows him to sleep through small dose of amphetamines.

SWIM occasionally uses prescription Modafinil to take the place of amphetamines when he needs to complete complex and arduous work at night time, yet still be able to get a refreshing night sleep. He has found that if he only takes 100-200mg around 7:00 PM he will be able to soundly fall asleep around 12:00-1:00 AM. While his focus and concentration will not be "100% locked-on" in the same manner that amphetamines produce, he still finds the effects to be much more beneficial than Caffeine.

In SWIM's opinion, Modafinil has little recreational value and it's abuse potential is comparable to coffee in the morning, just without the Caffeine headaches . Additionally, no substantial feelings of elation or euphoria should be expected. Simply stated, 100-200mg of Modafinil works extremely well as an aid to stay awake when one needs to, but in SWIM's experience, it also has given him the option to sleep whereas moderate doses of amphetamines do not.

Hope SWIM's personal experience helps. Stay safe!

Correct me if I'm wrong - but I think Nuvigil is not the same as Modafinil, as it only has one active isomer of the agent - making it work alittle diffeerent thatn modafinil.
Just say this so there will be no missinformation if poeple compare experiences with modafinil to those of
    nuvigil...
