Re: Quantities cocaine is commonly sold in ( was "cocaine size")

it really depends in what country and in what setting.
common units are lines (yes, it happens in some club environments in some european countries),
    half-grams,
grams and their multiples ( 2 grams, 4 grams etc)
In North America commonly found units are 1.75 grams but really 1.5g ( "teener", slang for 1/16th of an ounce , 28 grams in an ounce so 16th should be 1.75 gm, but is usually 1.5g )

    3.5 grams ( "eightball")

    half ounces,

    ounces

and then it can go up to kilos, tons etc but that's way beyond the scope of this forum which focuses on substance use

p.s.- a small reminder along the way price discussion are against the rules, prices belong in the price calculator only.

A teenager is a sweet sixteenth (1/16th ounce)! So, it is half of an eightball (1/8th ounce). Since the eightball is 3.5 grams, then the teenager is 1.75 grams. If you want to get really technical though, and your scale measures in hundreths of a gram, a teenager is 1.77 grams, an eightball is 3.54 grams, and an ounce is 28.35 grams. And they say, "Don't sweat the small stuff!" Geez! :crazy

what do you call bag sizes in your area?

Swim was just wondering what people on the forum call a bag of coke based on amount. A friend is getting swim a 1/4 gram tommorow (it's swim's first time) and he was wondering what you guys would call that, or what the slang terms were for other amounts. Calling it a "1/4 gram" sounds weird.

The only slang used by swim is a ball(or 8-ball) for an eighth(3.5g) and a teener for half an eighth. Swim has heard people refer to the amounts by 'points', for example '3 points' = .3g, however in swims group the 'point' system is mainly used for meth.

Well SWIM has ordered a half G and gotten a quarter G instead. Needless to say, they no longer get SWIM's money.

SWIM always figured he would be able to find someone to sell him just a single rock of crack but has yet to run across the ability to do so.

SWIM also thinks it has something to do with frequency of orders. If SWIY happens to live with or very near to their dealer, and does a lot of dealing with them, then SWIM thinks they would be sooner to put the extra work into weighing out a smaller amount and all that. However, if SWIY're only putting in the occaisional order or going through multiple middle wo/men then SWIY'll get what they got or nothing at all. At least that's SWIM's experience.

The smallest amount SWIM has bought is a G. This is the smallest amount
that SWIM has come across in his country. SWIM has never heard of coke
being sold in lines or "points". Also SWIM doesnt know anyone personally who
buys there coke in ounces unless they are dealers.

SWIM has never tried Heroin and doesnt plan to but he knows guys who have
and they say that H is sometimes sold in "points".

    WR:thumbsup:

    SWIM's cat's handle cocaine frequently,

They frequently hear these common terms:

    geeb, geeber, aka 1.0g

    teens, teener, aka 1.75g

    "good game" aka 2.0 g

ball, eightball, pool, an 8, skate, aka 3.5g

They have heard additives referred to as chotsky,
And Raw unadulterated yayo called rawsky, top mountain, and snowflakes.

    :)

ravingeek added 2 Minutes and 25 Seconds later...

SWIM's cat's say H is sold in points, grams, and hits (depending on the dosage of the dealer), he may sell "hits" to friends or repeat customers and "points" to regular customers.

Where swim is in Canada you can get a little snort (keychain or bump), a line, a
quarter gram (a quarter or a $$-bag, based on price), a half gram (half a g or a half), a gram (a g) or 3.5 grams (an 8-ball). Pretty basic, the same almost everywhere!

Here the smallest generally available units for powder are call "flaps" or "flizzes" they used to come in an envelope made from a lotto ticket or piece of newspaper and occasionally still do, but generally come in tiny zip-lock bags, they weigh between .25 and .5 grams, then come g's (grams) again, generally in little zip-lock bags, slightly larger than the flaps, then come teeners (1.5 to 1.75 grams, 1/16th of an ounce), eight balls or simply balls (3.5 grams, 1/8 of an ounce in a slightly larger zip-lock bag), q balls, quatches or quarters (7 grams, 1/4 of an ounce) halfs, half o's, h bombs (14 grams, 1/2 of an ounce) o's (28 grams or 1 ounce), keys/kilos/bricks, half keys/kilos/bricks, etc (kilograms, half kilograms, etc). Amounts between 1/4 ounce and multiple ounces come in normal kitchen zip-lock bags of various sizes, bigger than that typically come wrapped in heavy plastic wrap.

Crack comes in .25g, .35g .5g and 1g sized pieces usually wrapped in tinfoil and referred to by their respective prices as a {price} piece, this terminology is also sometimes used for small amounts of powder as a {price} bag. Crack also comes in eight balls or balls (3.5 grams again), quarters (7 grams) doves or half birds (14 grams) and ounces or birds (28 grams). Bird is also occasionallyused for ounces of powder.
