The Benadryl given in large doses will knock you out due to
anticholenergic side effects. These types of effects would basically result in decreased
"processing" through your GI tract - Drymouth, constipation, etc.
Being as though hydrocodone itself can cause constipation, you will
have additive effects. If you are going to try it, I'd advise
taking some Sennakot-S and some Colace with it so you aren't stuck on
the crapper for the next month.

I'm not sure why you want to take the two together - could you
elaborate for me? It is true that very rarely people who overdose
on Benedryl can get hallucinations (usually in children), but it's more
likely you will have seizures instead. Or at best, just be
    knocked cold.

Of course I'm overlooking the fact that you aren't using it for
recreational purposes and you have allergies. If that's the case
then, no, there shouldn't be any drug-drug interaction if the Benedryl
is used as it is intended.

As a recreational combo Benedryl and the various codones can
be quite fun. I have personally used it with Percocet 5/325's. These are
better as it keeps the amount of acetaminophen your liver has to deal with down.
I am not talking about huge doses of Benedryl usually just the normal dose plus
maybe 1 pill. In addition to a minor synergistic effect it keeps the itching
caused by high-dose opiates down (which I get pretty bad). It also does
help with the high not massively, but there is a much better feeling with the
    two Benedryl.

IMHO a really great high is:

[*]6-7 Percocet 5/325’s (substitute any strong opiate based
pain med here and use the amount that works for you. Tolerances vary massively,
    so be careful)
    [*]2 Benedryl extra strength
[*]1-2 Phenegren (Compazine) 12.5’s (this is a bit hard to find
but is another anti-histamine used to treat nausea)
The result is an unusually intense pain killer high with suppressed
itchiness and no nausea. The two anti-histamines do really seem to increase the
high in addition to suppressing the bad side effects. I find you get more
mileage out of the pain-killers with these added drugs.

I know several RN’s who call this combo the “secret high”,
and there are some patients who request Benedryl with their pain meds. Maybe it
    is just the itching…
