ok so i'm getting ready to order some San pedro and i've got a few questions

    1. how easy do they grow and how soon can you harvest them. I'm getting cuttings 10-14cm long and 4-6cm wide. I'm planning on eating some of them right away though

    2. It says that if they are dried they are more potent how should i dry them out?

    3. WHat is the trip like how long does it last etc.

    Thanks for any info.

    1. How easy they grow depends on where you live, on how warm/sunny your
climate is. My cacti (I live in NL and have only eastfacing windows)
grow only about 15cm (6 inches) a year. They stay thin too. In an
optimal environment they can grow up to 50cm (20 inches) a year.

    2. How do you wnat to consume them? They donĀ“t get more potent by
drying. Drying removes the water and what remains has of course a
higher percentage of alkaloids than cacti with water still in it. If
you want to make a tea, drying is not necessary.

    3. The nature of the trip is difficult to express in words. It is the
same as to explain someone, who has never seen a lion, how a lion
looks. His imagination of a lion, based on your verbal discription,
would probably not resemble the looks of a real lion.

Generally you can say that the alkaloids are hallucinogenic. A full
trip lasts up to 12 hours. Cacti are no candy. They are harsh stuff.
Something for/from people that are used to eat raw and unrefined food.
With shrooms I only have a heavy feeling for about an hour in my
stomache. After then I have a trip nearly without any sideeffects.
Cacti always give me sideeffects. Even after the nausea is gone. A
feeling of restlesness and often a slight physical unpleasantness.
After the trip I cannot sleep the whole night.

cacti are realy easy to grow. i cant tell you anything about the
trip since i just love my plants. my pedros areoles are starting
to split horizontaly. it looks like im getting 3 more pups on top
of the 1 thats already broken surface.
just make the cut then make a V of the bottom. easy as pie just
give your self 3 months with pedros and you wont want to chop
    them! [IMG]
