Salvia or Salvia divinorum :S

    Hi to everyone, i am new here and to salvia. My friend told me all about a time he smoked salvia so im quite interested in growing/trying it.My mum has a herb garden and contains salvia. i dont know if this is just for cooking or is this like divinorum or is it completely different and wouldnt produce the effects wanted?

    salvia means sage. salvia divinorum is a specific type of sage, that contains salvinorin a, the active physchoactive chemical that induces visions.

    so, your momma's cooking herb garden wont work.
