You were probably only half way in the vein. Did you register a trickle? If you only saw a tiny flow of blood then that's your answer. Or, maybe you moved the needle while you were injecting.

Keep an eye on it and as mentioned above, make sure it does not get infected.
Is there a reason you can not go to the hospital, or even a doctor?
If you are worried about parents finding out, you are an adult and the doctors can not tell anyone.
If you continue to inject drugs there might come a time when a hospital visit is necessary, so whatever reason it is you have for not going i suggest you make arrangements to fix that, because the alternative could be very bad.

Take care of yourself, and if you have to go then just do it. :)

In my dogs own experience, these lumps should go away in a few days perhaps the longest it took for them to disappear was five days.. So my dog tells me that if that lump of yours hasn't disappeared in at least three days better get it checked out.. It could be festering underneath your skin.. Not to scare you or anything, but seeking professional medical help would be recommended if it doesn't disappear or if you get too anxious. And no shooting up again to make you forget that is not a good idea :)

afoaf one time put a 20g syringe in her bump and withdrew the abscessed infection, after that all was good.

This is a horrible idea & I hope you weren't sharing it as a suggestion.

It's far too easy to leave parts of the infection behind, and breaking the little 'container' your body tends to build around an abscess can also introduce that bacteria directly into your bloodstream & potentially KILL YOU.

When a medical professional drains an abscess, they not only ensure that that the entire pocket of infection is removed, they prescribe antibiotics, and the pack the wound to make certain it heals properly & doesn't end up reinfected or anything.

Never just go poking at an abscess on your body! Always get it treated by a professional!
