    Hello,
I have a question about snorting Subutex (not Suboxone). Swim has been on Subutex for the last 2 weeks. He takes 4 mgs daily subling. Swim in curious about snorting it and how much to snort. Swim is also interested in shooting it, but first comes first and first is snorting.

    Thanks,

Since suboxone is effectively absorbed sublingually, it works even better insufflated: less of the drug is lost while waiting for sublingual absorption.
Supposedly, one should hold the Bupe "spit-ball" under the tongue for 10 minutes so as to ensure brain penetration of the drug. During this time, its easy to accidentally swallow some saliva, thereby reducing the dose. Insufflation allows almost the full dose to be absorbed without time limit (assuming one does not sneeze, or blow ones nose).

The downside is a blocked nose due to insufflating the large amount of filler within the powdered subutex/suboxone (suboxone works well insufflated).

One can use much less of the buprenorphine when insufflating, as it is a more effective route of administration.
