SWIM has a friend that wants to take LSD but at the same time is taking Paxil (Peroxetine) for anxiety. Would is be safe to take LSD while taking Paxil or would it just cancel the LSD out or be bad?

Paxil would reduce the effects of LSD a lot and change the trip a bit, some would say that the Paxil makes the LSD trip less strong and kind of weird.

SWIY can still trip while on Paxil; but if he were to get low dosed tabs he may not notice anything.

SSRI's are well recognised to impart negatively on LSD trips and to attenuate effects:

    See here...

Chronic administration of serotonergic antidepressants attenuates the subjective effects of LSD in humans

And, for those that can't be arsed reading the paper: Here's part of the abstract...

"Twenty-eight out of 32 subjects (88%) who had taken an antidepressant with inhibitory effects on serotonin (5-HT) reuptake (fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, trazodone) for over 3 weeks had a subjective decrease or virtual elimination of their responses to LSD"
