    No.

    Please see this wiki link.

There are also numerous test that have been conducted and full reports are available through a little googling.

Out of curiosity, what did your friend use to make the vaporizer?

Sorry for threadjacking, but has anyone done this? It would be awesome to stroll on the street, get out your inhaler, get high and pretend you have asthma :)

On-T: No, if anything I believe vaporizers (unless they're makeshift home-made ones, prone to explode) are less damaging to the human body than other, conventional methods of smoking.

SWIM knows someone that went to sleep one night and left about an eighth on his vaporizer while it was on. He woke up in the middle of the night and had to go throw up but he fell down some stairs on the way because his co-ordination was fucked. Then he threw up some more and slept in the front room.

So in some senses they're dangerous.

Actually now after doing some research It seems vaporizers are really safe, My friends theory is that he just got lightheaded because he didn't heat the water enoughso he was just inhaling a bunch of steam, not thc, that's what probably caused him to kind of faint.

Norman, can you please explain the type of 'homemade vaporizer' your friend is using? What materials was the vaporizer made out of and by what process was the cannabis heated, causing it to produce vapor?

Most vaporizers do not employ the use of water, especially not heated water.

Also, inhaling steam should not cause one to faint.

I forgot to mention , my friend Optimus also did like half a gram of cocaine, which was really low quality and crappy, my other friend ClarkKent ( SWIM), didnt try the homemade vaporizer, he just saw Optimus kneeling on the floor after hitting and Optimus saying " whoa I think i just fainted".

The vaporizer Optimus tried to use was like a facecleaning mask or something, I think it doesnt reach the necessary temperature for the THC to evaporate so he just inhaled steam.

But Optimus also has a nebulizer but his folks lent it to someone, when that is back in Optimus house, Clarkkent and him are gonna try that out.

When dealing with a vaporizer phaze thinks that quality is the main factor to figure in when deciding how dangerous it is.

The cheap offbrand china made etc low quality vaps are usually hazardous as they contain cheaply made parts and anything could be inhaled from copper, paint, plastic etc.

3 models that phaze knows of are high quality and geared toward providing a safe machine.

    1. the Volcano
    2.Vapor brothers
    3. super vapezilla

Investing in a well known brand that is not hiding in a shack somewere is the best bet, otherwise it really could be alot more dangerous.

A facecleaning mask? Like the kind used by painters doing indoor work? How could this be used to vaporize cannabis? I am very intrigued/perplexed by how one could make a vaporizer from such a mask, and utilize water and steam in the process. Could your friend Optimus perhaps provide a more detailed description of his device, or a tek for its creation? Where did your friend optimus learn how to make such a device?

pHaze has the right idea, above. Vaporizers could certainly be more dangerous than glass if poorly made. All the variability in the makeup of the component parts could lead to vaporized plastic, paint, etc., like pHaze said. Buying a more expensive, thoroughly tested and warrantied vaporizer is a much safer option than trying to save a few dollars by buying a cheap ripoff at the local headshop.

A vaporizer is somewhat better, offers a wholesome clean high like none other. It gives SWIM a sore throat from hell though. Look into them more

    LOL
SWIM's friend used a face cleaning mask that evaporates water with maybe some herbs or something, and is placed in the face so the vapors cleanse the pores.

Theoretically it sounded like a good idea but it doesn't reach the necessary temperature to evaporate THC.

After doing research to try and find a pic so phaze could understand more what was being used he only found cpap therapy.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPAP

Is swin sure that this isnt the system used to make the device? If swin is the one who purchased the face cleansing mask could swin provide a link, please do not post a link with buy options, only information, maybe upload a pic or a wikilink.

No purple haze thats not it, but that is one funny looking picture.

Google image searched for it and this is the closest picture

    http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/52150966/Facial_sauna.html

SWIM's friend's mask was similar except there was like a plastic tube that carried the steam from the heater to a mask.
