So SWIM is going to try vyvanse for the first time today in order to assist with study and this is SWIM's first time experimenting with any form of pill. SWIM is wondering what the effects will be (as in will SWIM feel a "high") and wether or not it will be noticable to SWIM's parents. Please leave any helpfull information you might have!
    Much appreciated!

SWIY is probably going to feel the effects after an hour (give or take 20 minutes). It will feel like a slowly increasing euphoria that will make the individual feel more sociable and uninhibited. 40mg will not create a "high" but will (at least for me, someone who is prescribed this medicine) make SWIY feel a nice uplifting. As for physical effects, SWIY will have a decrease in appetite, an increase in perspiration (if they are sensitive to the medication), and an increase in heart rate (slight at 40mg).

SWIY will have a better time focusing and feel very engaged in what he is learning. Their parents will for sure not notice anything except maybe that the individual is a bit more euphoric than usual.

SWIY should be fine unless they worry too much about it.

The first time swim did vyvanse, it was a 40 mg. Swim says that it was a very nice amphetamine rush and a good experience. just dont do it to much, swim says that tolerance builds really fast and eventually you'll need more to get the same effects.

    Drugs act differently for everybody.

For SWIM, 40mg a Vyvanse would have him wanting to run a marathon because he is sensitive to the medication. His parents do not notice though however even though they are well aware that he has a drug problem. SWIM would suggest SWIY doing a smaller dose than 40mg their first time taking an amphetamine so that they can see where they lie on the sensitivity spectrum.

SWIM's friend tried amphetamines for the first time and ended up in the hospital with an allergic reaction and was clinically dead for 3 seconds off of just 30mg of Adderall. So like SWIM said, it would be advised that you try a smaller dose your first time for safety precautions. SWIM isn't trying to scare you however, because this was a very freak accident and probably incredibly rare.

If this is a first time experience taking an amphetamine-like drug such as Vynanse, it's quite possible that your behavior will be noticeably different. One very common trait is being unusually talkative. Your mind/intellect is likely to be very active, (hopefully) very sharp and thoughts & ideas, etc. will come to you much faster than usual:l that's one of the reasons it's great for studying, writing and anything that requires sustained attention and energy. But all of that, combined with the mood elevation and physical energy frequently results in very fast or even breathless speech. Of course if you're normally a very energetic, engaged, fast thinker and talker, then these behaviors might not stand out that much but if that's not the case, you'll have to make a very strong effort to keep your affect normal, and um, your mouth shut, LOL!

Other things that could draw attention: making it obvious that you have a very dry mouth, smacking your lips, etc. It's also very easy to slip into small, very repetitive ticks or tweaks that to you just feel like fun little ways to express or let off some of that extra energy. A major attention getter is grinding or clicking your teeth, though that usually appears with higher doses and prolonged use, though sometimes that shows up more when you're starting to come down. While that kind of thing might provoke a joke from your mates about how badly you're tweaking, you're likely to be staring at knitted brows and a some relentless interrogation if your parents pick up on it. Oh, yeah, might be suspicious if you don't eat for a day or too, so learn to make yourself eat!

The first time AFOAF took amphetamine (it was a 20 mg Vyvanse,) he was noticeably spun. He was running around his house screeching like an idiot and would not shut up. I would recommend just taking half of the 40 mg dose if you have to take the drug. Open the capsule up, dump about half the powder into a glass of water, and drink that. Save the other half. Better to start off slow. You can always take the other half if the effects aren't strong enough but if you take too much and end up in some rough waters, you're stuck and have to ride it out.

Stay safe, and let us know how it went.

Well when swim used to take vyvanse for ADHD, he said it was the best stimulant that helped manage his ADHD. When swim took it he always needed to be doing something productive, which usually was researching stimulants.

Swim usually took it at 6:00 am and the effects usually declined at 6:00 pm.

Swim says 40mg is a low dose, but if you've never taken vyvanse before he says it's a good starting dose.

Well, I know you can't see this anymore as you are banned, but Swim's personal experience with vynase might be helpful. Swim was prescribed 20mg to take everyday. But Swim only takes it every other day (excluding weekends) This has slowed down the tolerance building for Swim. Swim has found that taking 20mg for even just 2 consecutive days, it doesn't give user the same alertness as the previous.

A week ago Swim bumped to about 28-30mgs. Felt nothing. Swim took 40mg earlier and felt effects take place regular time (1-2 hours). Swim experiences mild elation, somehow Swim is more enthusiastic at 20mg.

At 40mg Swim's heart beats a bit strangely, not too frequently though. Mostly like a quiver or normal beating accompanied by a slightly hard thump. Speech is faster and Swim more enthusiastic and more sociable - than without the pills- and limbs feel light. Swim also feels pins and needles on fingers and sometimes full hand. Swim still feels hungry, but feels not want for it.
