Umm listen man, for one Ambien is not a benzodiazepene so this post should not even be in this section! For two, you do not TRIP off of Ambien which is what you said in the post above. Ambien makes you fall asleep and does not get you high at all, I think most anybody would agree with me here. Stop wasting your time, get some real drugs and throw your "reserves" in the trash.

I do agree that for most ambean is good for nothing but sleep. but i have known people who do get good hallusinations off them. i myself dont see much recreational value in them but can see how some could like it.

    what? um no.

you take an ambien, fight the sleep and you hallucinate. simple as that.

i'm pretty sure their's no vast conspiracy amongst 14 year olds across
the country to lie about ambien getting them high because none of them
know where to get good psychedelics. anyone can walk into a store and
    buy DXM.

you are dreaming literally, it;s putting you to sleep while you;re doing whatever it is you;re doing. They are not genuine psychedelic hallucinations, I would like someone who has done legitimate psychs (for exzample LSD, ketamine, pure DXM) to try this and tell me if i am wrong. because from what i;ve heard from experianced adult drug users is that any high is placebo and it makes you fdall asleep.

also i never claimed of some vast conspiracy i merely believe these kids just want to get so badly that they would confuse and dreamstate thoughts as legit hallucinations

i didn't mean to imply that it was psychedelic and yeah it's not
a benzo, but it definately alters you in a hallucinatory manner
that some people find pleasant if you fight the sleep.

the best way is to take a little less than the recomended dose, that's
why a lot of people don't get off on it they either take the recomended
or more than that which doesn't really work. i'm not sure why.

anyway even if it does only give you crazy dreams, how is that any different from going under on K?

because K is an actual mood altering drug. try some K and you will see what real drugs feel like. it's not a "am i feeling a buzz, i think i am" it is a "i am so fucked up and couldn't walk if i tried" and that's doesn't even take a K hole to get you there. K will put you out ofyour gourd.

i have done K. it put me in a definate dream like state.

    this is a stupid argument.

you admit that ambien will mess with your head if you follow certain
steps, i admit it's not anywhere close to a real psychedelic.

Neither K nor LSD nor other psychedelics like shrooms, mesacaline, 2c-xs, etcgive you REAL hallucinations. They more give you visual effects.

Perhaps only the real hallucinations are caused by drugs which make you delerious-- jimson weed, belladonna-- like a waking dream. I have never tried Ambien, but maybe it really can make you hallucinate.Edited by: enquirewithin

ive had some really strong hallucination on 30mg of zolpidem. aside from seeing people that dont exist and having long conversations with them, you also get a twisted mindfuck. anyone whose taken 20-50mg will tell you that zolpidem is a psychadelic hypnotic.

I don't remember ever hallucinating, but when woken I was told I said
strange things. Like the damn passengers are so flammable, I went on to
complain the passengers kept running into the coal engine and setting
the ship on fire because they then ran around flailing. I had no memory
of this. It can definitely cause some kind of delerium.

For some people it causes visual effects if you stay up instead of
falling asleep. Don't be a moron, read the other posts on this forum,
there are about 9458485034850 people who talk about ambien giving them
visuals. Hallucinations are an official common side effect of it in the information sheet they give you when it is prescribed.

Ambien can be quite interesting, just don't expect it to be reliable as far as hallucinations go. I regularly take them for sleep, many times I realize there was something else I need to do before going to sleep, the result being that I stay awake far longer after taking the Ambien than one is supposed to. Sometimes I have hallucinations, most of the time not. When I do they are always of the lucid dream variety. For instance a candle sitting on my floor was left burning, lights were off in the room. The candle was seen to be the center of a circus ring, and I spent the next hour trying to find the sideshow, and talking to non-existent ppl. Another time I found myself talking to a towel draped over the shower rod.

Beyond the comical tellings afterwards, is there any enjoyment from that? I mean I have taken hallucinagens before and it wasn't to see tiger's stripes melting into each other (while cool initially) it was the euphoric feelings and ways it made me think that drew me to them. I dunno. I get a group of people cheering me on and saying nice things about me. I really like that. It's unusually. Felt warm and fuzzly. Ambien definitely gives you some trippiness if you fight to stay awake.

-chill man ur getting all fired up about ambien. First off dude it isnt a benzodiazpine but it is extrememly similar in chemical structure, do your research..therefore it is appropriate in this forum. secondly i dont think many peole claim it to be a psychedelic but for you to say its not mood-altering, your uniformed and unexperienced. ive taken ambien for 2 years and i can still get high on 7 or 8....i used to get nice and fucked up off 2. ambien makes u hallucinate people that arent there, i took 14 last month and my parents told me i was talking to someone and was introducing her to real people. Ambien gives you a short-lived 45 minute high that is quite peaceful yet confusing...check the erowid vaults under experiences...and maybe you should take some ambien to chill the fucck out.

BrandonAA:also i never claimed of some vast conspiracy i merely believe these kids just want to get so badly that they would confuse and dreamstate thoughts as legit hallucinations

Kids arent pretending shit with ambien, check erowid experience vaults or take a handful and fight the sleep....such hostility and arrogance when u dont know what your talking about

okay man maybe i was wrong when i said that ambien couldn't make someone hallucinate. i was correlating the word tripping with LSD or DxM. the tripping this kid was talking about is not even in the same ballpark. granted there are differant kinds of hallucinations, this would be paralell to delirium from sleep deprevation. when i was in eighth grade i stayed up all night at "24 hour relay" (a school event), the next day i still didn't sleep and going on 48 hrs awake istarted talking toa friend and then realized he was not there.

this information you can find on -

    http://www.ambien.com/consumer/utility/ambienPatient.pdf

you said ambien is "extremely similar in chemical structure"

"Zolpidem tartrate, is a non-benzodiazepine hypnotic of the imidazopyridine class and is available in 5 mg and 10 mg strength tablets for oral administration."

    http://www.rxlist.com/cgi/generic/zolpid.htm

so i would personally look forward to eating this mysterious chemical. i would do so with an open mind of course and would gladly post the experiance here. and as for Erowid, i love the site it is excellant but i think many would back me up that there aremany wayoverboard experiance posts regarding highs. believe me i understand the drugs DO REALLY getpeople high, i have personally been FUBARed (fucked up beyond all recoginition) more times than i can count, but to use the word tripping in that way, is incorrect.

i have taken 21 ambien in the last few weeks, some tried orally and fight sleep...experience is a little sleepy but i fought it then i felt pretty much very tired, i did not have any visuals or anything like that but i was "high" like benzos without the floating.

But i do not diss anyone who says they trip out on ambien, it could happen who knows?

I have also latley been injecting about 30 mgs. of ambien every night, i cant figure out exactly the best way to extract, heat or not, but it seems every time either way i get a quick rush then ama little sleepy. It might be worth it just to swallow 30 mgs. and sleep well.

But thats just my advice bias free and the way it happend to me.
