new to DF, and hoping someone can offer advise.
After 30 yrs of being on 24 mgs/d of Suboxone I was able to wean down to 2 mgs/d over a period of 6 months. In my great wisdom I figured I could go cold turkey since 2 mgs is 1/12 of my previous 24 mg dose. I couldn’t have been more wrong! Now 12 days later of pure hell I’m still dealing with rls. And please! rls is not the right description of this hellish symptom. It implied your legs have a bit of nervous energy, something you can just walk off. I would rather equate it to an electric fence implanted in your parasympathetic nervous system with a sadistic entity controlling the voltage. Setting it either on full high, or a notch or two below that. BUT IT NEVER STOPS! EVER!!! I agree with what another writer had said; I can take the depression, insomnia, fatigue, just not this damn rls. View attachment 179630 View attachment 179630
How is my sleep you ask dear reader. None for 4 days once withdraw started 2 days after my last dose. Then sporadic to date; maybe 2-3 hrs in a 24 hr period.
I really did not write this to whine, but have two questions. First, what can I expect over the coming weeks? Second, is there any remedied that could help with this most dreaded rls?
