6mg methadone CT, very little symptoms

    As I write this its been a week since my last dose of methadone,i had tapered from 200mg down to 6mg in the course of near 4 years and started feeling like dog shit under the 10mg point, the last day i took my dose i went to sleep covered in sweat and just bad withdrawals, my choices were either hold or go up and stabalize but everytime i tried to stabalize it made me feel worse so i decided to jump,along with my GF who was at 5.5mg. first day i failed attempt, during this time i stocked up on supplements/amino acids/vitamins spending around $110 this included

    vitamin c 2000mg 1x day
    multi vitamin 1x
    fishoil 2x
    magnesium with zinc 1x
    ginger root 500mg 3x
    valerian root 450mg 3x
    5-htp 50mg 2x
    pashion flower tincture 3x
    L- tyrosene 600mg 1x
    ginseng complex 1x
    gabba 750mg 1x
    L-theanine 100mg 1x

    also prescription clonodin helps.
    i do have benzos and kratom i got for emergency use but never needed them.

    the first day was actually the worst day,yees the day i took my last dose was worst hence why i leaped.I was expecting the storm to come since my last withdrawal was a 20mg CT I knew how bad things can get but each day I only got mild symptoms, the worst being skin crawl and RLS but even with this i was getting 5-6 hours of sleep. no cold sweats/very little fatigue/one day diarrea/no vomit/no hot cold/n goose bumps/no depression no anxiety.the storm simply never came but instead we got a trickle of rain,mt gf did have sweats one night but she also leaped with the flu because she has time of work so i cant say what symptoms were WD or flu..

    yesterday i even went for a hour hike to get endorphins going, the day before that i went to junkyard and pulled autoparts. sure I felt like crap but nothing like i thought it would been like at all. the more i got outa the house the better i felt to a point.

    here on day 7 i feel much better then any other day so far. I been drinking protein shakes and eating lots of good protein meals, and eating fruits and veggies while drinking tons on cranberry juice to detox. I couldn't believe how well things were going that by day 5 while driving i started crying because i knew i was on my way out of this hell.when i do feel intensity of the throbbing skin crawl i go outside or walk or exercise or hot bath and they get better.

    i think the key is TAPERING you must get your dose low before the leap as this is what will dictate everything imo, i still would recommend getting lower then we did before we leaped IF you can. I do recommend anyone who is scared of withdrawal save up and get the supplements listed above and start taking them a few days prior to your leap. worth every penny if they help in any way. ill post update tomarrow
