Hey. been on methadone for about eight years, I'm 33 now. when I started on methadone and got off pills I felt fantastic. had energy again. wanted to do things. actually looked forward to life, I started tapering down and felt good and then I relapsed once I got down to seven milligrams. I went back up to forty and now I'm back down to seven again, going strong. but for some reason I'm exhausted, have heart palpitations and have been checked numerous times with blood work and ekg and ecg and all came back normal. and more than anything, I look like absolute shit, pale in the face. no motivation, and I felt like this even when I was up to forty. my hope is that when I'm completely off of methadone my body will normalize again (because methadone is a drug, even though it helps). I guess my question is, has anyone had any experience with this before, my doctor had me on testosterone for a while but it didn't really do anything. I'm really hoping that a few months after I'm completely off I will feel alive again. any input helps, thanks in advance.
