5-MeO-DMT

5-MeO-DMT is a naturally occurring psychedelic tryptamine. It is one of the primary psychoactive compounds found in the seeds of plants of the genus Anadenanthera, which have been used in entheogenic practices for thousands of years in the form of Yopo snuff. 5-MeO-DMT is also present in the venom of the Bufo Alvarius toad. The effects of synthetic preparations of 5-MeO-DMT were extensively characterized by chemist Alexander Shulgin in his book TiHKAL: The Continuation.
